Question Will the wheels fit the EVO8

Hello all,
I just want to know if these wheels will fit my red EVO 8? I'm not worried about weight issues because i'm not racing, I just like the way they look and I can't find any answers. I don't know how to tell what fits and what doesn't. Thank you for any help!

Not likely that 17x7 wheels will fit. There are only a handful of 17x8 wheels that fit over the front calipers.

Furthermore, if you did get 17x7 wheels to fit the car, you would probably have to go with a narrower or higher profile tire than stock, giving up handling.

Mounting 235/45R17 tires on 7 inch rims doesn't sound like a good idea.

I did check to see if you could mount the tires. I had 3 different tire shops tell me you could do it with out any problems.

Depends on the offset......not to be offensive, but why would you want to use a cheap cast wheel on your car such as these...they are basically disposable.

Not saying you have to have the flashiest latest Volks out there either, but you would be far better off with stock wheels, or a decent aftermarket one that doesn't break the bank, unless its primarily a show car that rarely gets driven...

They're right in one respect. 235/45R17 will mount onto 17x7 wheels -- the rim will hold the tire. But the wheel/tire combination won't be optimal. The angle of the sidewall will be too high to maintain good performance characteristics. The tire will behave badly (and in some respects unpredictably) under heavy cornering loads.

I have a set of SSR Competitions 17x8 with the five hole 114.1 pattern (can look up the offset but it was something like +48). They would fit over the 13" Brembo GT big break kit for the Acura TL-S. Anybody have a guess if they would fit the Evo? I am sorry, but I don't even know the bolt pattern for sure as I am still shopping as of yet (just trying to learn a little more before I buy).

It sure would be good luck if they did...

I know the icw wheels are crap but that is the only gloss black set I have found to date. If you know of any others that are close to this style and are alloy with the same gloss black finish please let me know!

if you don't want to spend a fortune on lets say Volk wheels which you could get in a gloss black finish, you could get any wheel powder coated for about $70 dollars per wheel. Why don't you just powder coat your stock wheels gloss black as an alternative. my $.02

Good point!
I checked that out too. A local powder coater said they would do it for 55$ per wheel.
It's not really a money issue I can afford what ever wheels I want I just can't find what I'm looking for. I'll check out the volk wheels.
