high speed brake vibration question

Symptom
high-speed braking vibration through the steering wheel, but no vibration through the brake padel.

Known Defects
I know my 2 front wheels are bent and my alignment is off a bit, too

Recent mods
i recently installed a set of BBK on my car, I had to use 15mm spacers in order to clear the caliper. i am almost 100% sure the installation/bedding was done right and the BBK parts are not defective. that being said, after the installation i took the car out for a ride and i noticed that on the highway, when i am over 60mph, if i brake, there is a steering wheel vibration/shake and it is pretty severe.

Could this be caused by my bent front wheels or my alignment? Keep in mind i also installed the 15mm hub-centric spacers which changed the geometry a bit on the front wheels.

Thanks.

Sounds like your rotors are warped...
I would think the wheels being bent would cause vibration ALL the time, not just under braking.

and what can be the cause of warp rotors? i am pretty sure i bedded the pads in right though.

if the rotor is not fully balanced, can that be that cause of the problem?

Uneven torquing of the lug nuts. Clamping your pads on your rotors after they're heated (leading to uneven rotor cooling and more often pad deposits on the rotors).

Get the rotors turned.

^ this is not for an evo, and i dont think it matters which car it is for. i gave all the information i knew and just trying to have the knowledgeable members here give their best advice/recommendations.

i cant turn the rotors because they are slotted.

and i agree, stock evo brakes are very.

If the steering wheel only vibrates when you apply brakes at high speeds, your rotors are uneven. Plain and simple. If it was anything else it would vibrate all the time.
I base this solely on my own experience, maybe someone else will tell you what you want to hear.

Good Luck

^thanks.

so assuming if there are uneven deposits on the rotor surface, will sanding it down with steel wool work?

You didn't read it? Tell us how you bedded in your pads exactly please.

Read those, make sure your pads are bedded in properly, and that will probably take care of the deposits on your rotor. If not, then yes you can sand them down lightly but doubtful that is necessary.

cfd knows what he is talking about, he is one of our regular track guru's here.

call me crazy, but i think I'd start with the known defects first. Alignment and bent wheels could easily cause this problem. I'd start with the alignment
