Custom Intake & Exhaust

I just bought a 2006 MR, and it has green cone filter, and 3" catback exhaust. It was installed on the car just prior to sale, but I dont like it. Its loud and I dont think it gives any extra HP.
I want to switch it all to stock parts. anyone wanna trade ?? post here, or PM me. thanks

yeah unlike some cars, turbo cars + a bigger better flowing exhaust and a good intake = more hp especially with a tune

Yea, those 2 parts make big hp differences on evos. You just need a tune to really feel the power. 3" exhaust make a huge difference on turbo cars, they arent just rice on there.

I know your new bro, but this is the wrong forum. Your post doesn't belong here.

the 3-5 extra Hp i may be getting with the custom parts aren't worth the noise they make. people hear me coming from 2 blocks away, and I cant hear my radio playing. Besides, I dont have a tune. all a "tune" is good for, is the "check engine light" on all the time.

Sorry about being on the wrong forum

since when does a tune cause a cel???? also look around the forum and look at the dyno sheets, people with an exhaust and intake plus a tune make way more than 3 - 5 hp

I achieved over 75 hp and tq from a tbe, filter, mbc, and tune. The tune and exhaust is the most important!

Before you get all defensive, try spending some time reading the hundreds of threads on this FORUM, regarding your aftermarket parts.

dont laugh but, I just wouldn't know if the car already had a good tune? like i said, I bought it as is, from out of state, and have no idea what was done before. For all I know this car could have been heavily modified and then brought back to stock somewhat (except of course the intake and exhaust).
All I know is what I can see, like the cone intake filter, 3" exhaust and huge muffler, and lastly, a boost controller (a small manual valve which you can turn to open or close), mounted on top of the intake pipe, with one hose leading to the BOV, and another very small hose leading to the intake manifold
