countless threads on this, but...

5Zigen fno1rc
Volk CE28n
Enkei NTo3 (17X9.5)

Just to name a few. There are also Rotas which come in the 17X9 size

I would find some cheap BBS wheels and put a 255/40/17 tire on there. That is about the widest tire you can run without messing with fender rolling and rubbing issues.

The difference in performance between a 255 on an 8" (stock) rim and a 9" rim would be next to none. Added benefit.... less likely to curb an 8" rim because there will be more tire bulge to protect the rim.

I am not a super competitive race car driver but I do visit 8-10 lapping day/autox events a year. I have had excellent results buy running the light weight MR/SE BBS wheels with a nice sticky 255 series tire. I also have another set of daily driver rims that aren't exposed to mega doses of brake dust or outside edge killing twisites. I feel its better to keep your street tires in tip top shape ready for whatever mother nature unexpectedly throws at you. Having a dedicated set of track wheels will allow you to safely run them down to the threads.

Good Advice. I would also run some stock BBS with 255s.
