Does the Kosei K1 TS wheel come in a 17" x 9" size that fits the Evo??
Tirerack.com only shows a 17" x 8" application that fits the Evo 8/9.
I called Tire Rack, asking if there were ANY 17" x 9" K1 TS in 5 x 114.3 mm bolt pattern, explaining that I was exploring fitment possibilities for the K1 TS where I'd have to roll the fenders on the car or use spacers to get them to fit, but the moron on the phone just said, "if the computer doesn't list the wheel for your application, it won't fit."
I know there's better information out there than this.
Anybody?

you might want to take a look at the 5zigen FN01RC in 17x9. they are cheap, lightweight, and proven to fit perfectly without spacers etc
a bunch of vendors and discount tires direct sell then.
it's pretty much the proven standard for a good cheap track wheel.

Tire Rack's ad in the Feb. 2008 issue of Grassroot Motorsports shows a 17" x 9" sizing for the K1 TS. So unless that listing is a complete typo, I believe there IS a Kosei K1 TS in 17" x 9".
Thanks... I already have a pre-order in @ edgeracing.com for a set of the FN01R-C in 17" x 9"... but those wheels are 19.4 lb each, while the Kosei K1 TS is known to be a lighter design, and the aforementioned Tire Rack magazine ad quotes a weight of only 16.0 lb. for the apparently-mythical 17" x 9" K1 TS.
I'd gladly pay a little more for a set of 17" x 9" K1 TS wheels... if it's available to fit the Evo.
What sucks is that there doesn't even appear to be a Kosei general information website that shows available sizes/bolt patterns/offsets... like 5Zigen or Rays/Volk or Racing Hart has.

Okay, thanks... but again: I'm looking for 17" wheels.
More reasons: I'm going to use my Evo for SCCA autocross, and in STU class, I'm limited to 245 section-width tires.
There isn't an applicable tire in either the Dunlop Direzza Z1 or the Bridgestone RE01R in an 18" size, currently the two best "low price" tire choices for street tire competition (the ADVAN Neova being the obvious "highest price" STU tire option).

What offset do you need? If you do purchase a wheel "off the menu" (yeah i know... ) it won't come with any lug hardware or centering rings just so you know. I'm not even sure of the center bore size of the 17x9's in 5-114 we have in stock are. The 9" sizes we do have are Lexus and 350Z fitments.
