same happened to my evo.... finally swapped it out with new rotors and pads...looked in the inner rotor and it was like a couple of rocks got lodged in between the pad and rotor and ate away at the rotor. pads still had PLENTY of life left, but rotors were toasts because of whatever ate it away

no i didnt figere out yet i took off the front and back wheels i think the rotors are good on the inside i dont really know what bad rotor feels like but it felt smooth a little bumpy but smooth! i didnt pull the brakes out cause i had to be somewhere and i didnt have much time to do so. but i do plan on taking the pads out to check them what the best way to take my pads out? should i unbolt the caliper and slide it off the rotor and take them out that way? well thanks for helping guys

no don't take the caliper off unless you are goign to remove the rotor itself. Its a lot faster to pull the pins out and slide the pads out.. you may need to push the pistons in a lil to get the pads out depending.... I used two flat head screwdrivers and a rag... just be gentle don't jam the screw drivers in,, you may jack something up..

put the screw drivers in between the pads and the rotor and kind of lightly pry apart... shouldn't take much effort.

i don't you should hear grinding on all wheels. if pads are worn down you will hear it on one wheel and see noticeable gouges in either the inside or outside of whatever particular rotor. I also doubt your pads are worn that much to have metal to metal contact with only 11k,,, but then again i don't know your driving style, track experience,,, etc.
