Tires On The Left Side Wears More?
I noticed the left side (Driver side) Tires are wearing very slightly more.
So I am wondering why and have you all experienced this too.
INFO: Evo IX, 16K, Advan A046. Tire pressure are exactly front/rear: 36/32.
I weight 185 lbs.
Why?

Anybody?
The Advans and almost all tires are Directional. I was thinking about buying a Asymmetrical tires, so I could switch them, side to side.
So does anyone know of a good Asymmetrical tires. I found the SP 5000, but they're all season.

I had the same issue when I 1st got the EVO. I charged every corner as if it where the last. I finally realized it was the way/where I drive.
I live next to a clover leaf and I work next to a clover leaf. Since most of my turns are to the right, the left side wore more. I decided drive a little bit slower in the turns sure enough, the tires started wearing even. I did get 9000 miles out of the stock Adavns. Had I not realized what I was doing, it would have been more like 5-7000 miles.
BTW, you could try a more aggressive alignment. I think controlling the idiot behind the wheel is more effective though.

Lots of right turns on US roads. On/off ramps are usually to the right, and I bet if you're anything like me you fly through them.
edit: aww Evo-lved beat me to it.

I agree with everyone above ... lots of right turns and factory toe settings can kill your tires quick. I had my car aligned with a very conservative street alignment at 300 miles and ended up getting 13k from the stock Advans ... that was with 6 auto-x events with 5 or 6 60" runs each. I ended up wearing the outside shoulders off of the tires because of the conservative alignment.
As for tires, look in to the Hankook RS2. It's pretty grippy and directional, so the basic rotation is front to back only. However, they are symmetrical so you can swap sides with them for a small fee at your local tire shop. Pretty much any non-directional tire you find will be an all-season with no where near the grip level you should have on an Evo.

Thank you! Too Many hard turns, yes, you all are right ! I HAD SUSPECTED THIS, and knew something was up with these quick wearing tires. I'll make some driving habits changes.
I checked out the Hankook Ventus Z212 (RS2) 225 / 40R18 $195, but won't work for me, I have 17".
Anybody know of a great Asymmetric (Non-direction) All season, cornering tire? 235/45 R17.
Forget about the Perilli P6 all season. Cornering good with no sqealing for the first 300 miles only.
