We need much more information. Let us know what you plan on using the car for. We can work from there.

oem brembo's are a great setup if your not raceing the car, though expensive. ECS I was thinking about stopping down sometime to see what u guy's think about a 96 legacy/sti swap for me.

Best pads for the evo on the street are Ferodo DS2500's IMHO. They bite HARD, do not dust too much, and if installed properly don't squeek much. Worth every penny.

Stop by anytime! That's one of my favorite combos

I had hawk on my car fro 2 weeks and they squeaked badly. Mostly due to the fact that i didnt have my rotors turned and they had a huge lip on the edges. I got some autozone pads and they dont dite nearly as hard so im sucking it up getting new rotors and putting the hawks back on. The ceramics had almost now dust btw.

Anyone have experience with the EBC yellowstuffs? I have used them on my SRT4 and Cobra in the past with GREAT success on the street and track... anyone tried them on the EVO?

a little while back sport compact car did a back to back test with the evo and sti and their brakes. all i remember is that the Ferodo DS2500 was the best all around for the evo. they had a DS3000 but those pads bite really hard and were not good for street use.

+1 I might go back to OEM after trying ds2500. My car is now pure street and I prefer good initial bite to the ability to handle high temp for mountain runs, etc...

As others have mentioned, the DS2500 are pretty good. Many also go with Hawk's HPS pads. I personally like Performance Friction's Z compound, but that might be overkill. Since it sounds like you won't be really abusing the brakes, I wouldn't recommend anything as serious as Hawk HP+. I don't even know why so many AutoX guys run them. I would find it to be incredibly hard to get them up to optimal temps even in that kind of situation. Oh, and on the street, they would make noise, lots and lots of noise.
