245s or 255s w/ GT-U 18x9+29
Hey guys,
Couldn't find too many people running this setup but I just picked up a brand new set of GT-Us from one of our member and the size is 18x9+29. From what I understand that's pretty aggressive for our cars (I came from a Z so my idea of aggressive was 19x11+17 )
I want to run 255s but if it's going to require some fender rolling I'll go for 245s. I'm planning on Swift springs (w/ my Bilstein struts) so any input would be great. I'm hoping to get tires asap
I know I know, I didn't spend any more money...just traded some parts
Didn't think I was going to get this crazy deal so I couldn't pass this set up. This is the most aggressive offsets available for the Evo without fender work. I'm not entirely sure if I can run a 255/35/18 setup but the 245/35/18 will fit for sure. I guess we'll find out Personally I think some of the G35 sedan guys should try runing this setup. I don't think these comes in 19s though so probly not a huge Z market for them.

18x9 +29 all around.

I posted the same question 4 days ago and got no reply, I have 18x9+30 wheels on the way and ended up order some 255/35/18. I'm not sure if it will be differen't with GT-U's but this thread
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...hlight=g-force
is what made me go with the 255, those tires look a little bit stretched.. To me its not worth having a smaller contact patch just so I can avoid getting my fenders rolled. Seems like a short cut.

Thanks for the reply bro. I guess we'll be running one of the rarer offsets/tire sizes around then I ordered 255/35/18 as well. I'm not sure if they will fit but I have a good idea and I think they should be fine, especially when I'm not planning on lowering too much.
Thanks for the link btw, I'm sure the 255 would be a better choice. I'm not a fan of stretched wheels on the Evo, coming from a Z I understand the stretch is a Nissan / Euro thing but on an Evo it looks much better with beefy tires
