How to adjust KW Coilovers
Hey guys,
I bought a set of KW coilovers used so I didn't get the manual for them. How do you adjust the firmness on these. They came to me at almost full stiff and I need to soften them a bit. Thanks

Besides the specifics to your KWs, a great place to advance your learning on how to adjust shocks is the Koni Motorsports web site and catalog. This catalog has some great tips on exactly how to adjust the shocks and even how to select spring rate.

I installed a set of KW I purchased from Robispec and the first day the car was solid a rock. The suspension was so firm or I would say stiff that I thought something was wrong. After several hours they began to loosen up and by the next day they were perfect. I think that the gas somehow has to acomodate itself until it is working properly . I don't know, but now my KWs work like a dream!

What you experienced is likely 'stiction' caused by the parts not moving freely. In a shock you want the oil passing through the valves to do all the 'work', but when the shocks are new it takes a few miles for all the moving parts to slide easily against each other. With some shocks the stiction never goes away at great detriment to the ride and handling.
Does this mean that from the top of the strut/car, clockwise means the same direction for both compression and rebound? Meaning, if looking from the bottom, it would be counter-clockwise to increase compression? Thanks!
when adjusting the bump on the V3....do you need to take off the load of the suspension...like raising the car with a jack?
adjusting the rebound and bump:
clockwise = hard/close
counterclockwise = soft/open
