Swift Springs Does it Again!
Just got back to OH after running the Saginaw Valley Region SCCA event at Barstow Airport in Midland, MI. Had a great time (as always) running with that group. And I got a ride in the Showcase Mitsubishi (Voltron) with Andy at the wheel. Wow, is that car fast. The g's you feel in the corners is nuts! And I was reminded that I need a good 150 more hp
Otter came along and co-drove my car. And did a great job! Had launching down right off the bat. (Numbered as 108)
In MI, we have a street tire classing. For Detroit Region its TSM (only SM cars), up in the SVR Region its a street tire indexed class. So any class that allows slicks you run with your class but are indexed. So example, my car is SM (sti).
I had the fastest raw time in the indexed class with a 48.3. Otter had a great run of 49.8 (awesome for the first time in my Evo!). A well prepped STU Evo ran 50.6 for reference.
After all the indexing I took 3rd in class and Otter had 4th. A CSP and DSP car indexed higher with 50-51s runs.
To have won I would have to have run a 46-low 47s run. But with the national level Showcase car laying down a 43.x run in SM. I am happy to run sti

Mr Brightside: The front two are the Star Specs and the rear are the org Z1s. I killed 2 tires earlier this season at Winged Warrior. But the tires are great! Tons of grip and really nice manners. (PS - mievo.net is the MI Evo club)
Thanks Jim!

Thanks Andrew!
Why jealous? Look up your local SCCA and go have fun!
Otter is no slow driver either. Not bad for his first time out in an Evo - a bit different than the RA.
