Need Info!

I'm looking for a nice drag wheel for the evo 9 and I need to know offsets.

I'm looking at either a 17x9.5 to a 17x10 and I want to run a 275/40/17 DR tire.

Any info would be very helpfull as far as offsets, spacers ( how much ), and will rolling the fenders be needed. Rim options are also welcomed, again thanks for your help.

I think you're going in the wrong direction with size. The sizes you're looking at are what you'd be doing for road racing or autox. With drag, you want the lightest set you can find and don't want large contact patch. Go for a smaller 17 with a 225 or 245. We aren't like RWDs where we need really fat tires. Look at the other Evos out there in your range and see what they're running. Most seem to have the BFG 225/45-17.

for 17" the BFG is the stickiest tire for drag.. warrtalon is correct on weight also.. A heavier tire is going to destroy more in drag as well.. i had the M/T drag radial for 1 launch.. 1st launch axles snapped on the street.. i tossed them after that..

Then maybe I'll just keep my stock wheels and mount some dr's on them. I was just looking to see what options were out there.

That's what most people do. I did basically the same thing by putting them on my 17X8 Rota Torque winter rims - they are 1lb heavier than my BBS MR rims, so I figured it was a good choice. I have my top-flight street tires on the BBS for DD and track use (non-competitive).
