I want a light weight race wheel that can see street duty. The Enkie's RPF01 fit this bill in almost every detail even down to price. But I am not super fond of there styling. Mostly because they are harder to clean (multiple places for brake dust) and the dark centers are easier to maintain as well...

If you guys remember the SSR competitions with a gunmetal center and a polished lip and a weight around 16lbs for 17 rim..... Thats pretty much what I am looking for. But they are looking kind of dated now.

So really:

: lightweight 15-17lbs
: relatively inexpensive
: Gunmetal or Black center with polished lip
: 8.5-9inch

Do you guys have any ideas for what appears to be the road last traveled?

Have you looked into the 5Zigen Fn01r-c wheels? I've heard they are pretty light and great for the price for what you get. They also look easy to clean as well.

 

Thats exactly what I am looking except the weight (almost 20lbs). Would like to see something around the 16lb mark...
