Lightbulb WHAT OFFSET to buy?? Rota P45r

Hey guys im coming on here to ask for opinions and everyones thoughts. I like the Rota P45r's cause i dont have the money to buy some Volk TE 37. Those are my dream evo wheels the volks.

So i am buying 18x9.5 Rota P45r but i dont knwo what offset to buy.

A lil about my car . its an evo 8 lowered on BC coilovers. I have not rolled my fenders but I CAN i can roll my fenders if its required to. I would like a VERY VERY mean looking stance, showing that my 35r has more ***** than normal 35rs. Well i mean i like a mean looking stance not a pusssy one. Lol I can also use spacers if required.

Here are the offsets i have to chose from : All these are 18x9.5 Rota P45r

+12
+15
+20
+25
+30
+35
+48

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I really dont know much about offsets. My color would be flat black w/ red lip on my Lightning yellow 8.

+25 and roll rear fenders.

Rule of the thumb if you want to go with aggressive looking wheels:

If they don't rub, they don't fit.

can you answer this question? is the number the bigger plus offset you go the better or worse? like the smaller number the more aggresor or is it total opposite or not even at all?

also how wide tires can i run on 18x9.5 +25 then?

lower the number, the wheel pushes out towards the fender, meaning for flush.

255s or 265s.. depending on what brand of tires you are getting

I would go with +35 rather than +25. With +35 you'll be able to run wider tires. The +25s are going to waste room on the inside, especially in the rear. If you decide that you want a wider stance, then you can always add spacers to the higher offset wheels. Bigger offsets leave your options open.

Here's my Specs:
P45R 18x9.5 +30 offset, Tires are Falken Ziex 265/40/18, rear fenders rolled. I have 12mm spacers in front rubbing on my liners when turning at full lock. I'm lowered on BC Track coilovers 1 inch front/0.8inch on rears. Good luck, you're going to rub on something or you're going to have to take your front fender liners off.

Is that a typo in the tire size? Did you mean 265/35/18? 265/40/18 is the wrong size for an Evo. With 18s, you shouldn't need to remove fender liners with the right offset and tire size -- slight trimming at most.

My Setup:

Type: P45R 18x9.5's black w/polished lip
Offset: +30mm
Spacer: 6mm (front only)
Tires: 245/40's Azenis 615 (a 255/35 tire will work too)
Coilovers: Tein Flex
Fender mod or rubbing?: NO

With 265's or bigger I'm sure the rear fender will need a little rolling/trim.
Fronts will be okay as long as your not slammed.
Oh, don't forget to get longer wheel studs on the fronts when running any spacers.

Good luck.

Send a PM to Wheeldude.com , they are the only Rota vendor that stocks these wheels and can tell you what you need to do to fit them.

The 18x9.5 P45R needs a low offset to clear the front Brembo brakes. So you can either get the 18x9.5 +30 and run a 8mm spacer in front, fitment will be easier in the rear with +30. Or get the 18x9.5 +25 and run a small 2mm spacer for Brembo clearance. Or run a +20 and run no spacers, rear fitment will be aggressive though.

^^^Just my conservative opinion, but a +20 is very tough to get to fit properly, w/no rear fender rub

You will have to consider a stretched 245 at the very least w/ a hard rear roll & likely a fender pull. Some guys will suggest running high camber as well to help clear

I say, steer clear of offsets lower than +25

I run the P45R but in the 17x9.5 +30 spec. (No spacers needed)
