negetive camber question
negetive camber question
how bad is it to have a DD evo with negative camber font and rear? have some rims that have +20 offset so i have to run camber. whats the bad and good. about it tire wear?
It depends on the camber. I have put plenty of miles on cars with 2 degrees of camber or more. If the car is really well aligned with 0 toe, the tire wear is accelerated some but it's usually only (rough guess) 10 to 20 faster than normal.
However if the alignment shop just slaps the alignment in and doesn't get everything dead on or leaves even a tiny bit of toe (in or out) your tires will wear much faster - figure cutting tire life by half (or even more) if you don't catch it and get it fixed.
Camber alone is a pretty minor increase in tire wear, but it compounds any toe or thrust angle problems noticeable.

If you set it up with 0 Toe you can easily run up to -2* of camber without worrying about changing tires often. I ran -4* on the rear of my eclipse gsx for almost 2 years and didn't have to change tires at all. Toe was at 0.
