I ran the ASX tires as my all-seasons over the last few winters. I now have Goodyear F1 AS, but these were good tires. To get the most life out of them I rotate front to back and inside-out. I found no differences in rain/snow driving from doing this. Channeling water/snow is channeling water/snow.

Thank you everyone for the clarifications...SmikeEvo, when u say inside out, does that mean u flipped the tires on the rims? Or did u mean u swapped the tires from one side of the car to the other?

Flipped the tires on the rims so the outsides then become the insides.

For arguement sake---you can NOT rotate radial tires to the opposite side of a car. Once the car is driven the tires need to stay on that side of the car. If you rotate them side to side---the tread will separate.

Aren't all tires for cars radial tires? And if that's the case, then you're saying radials marketed as unidirectional should not be rotated from side to side on a car?

When I used to ride motorcycles, you didn't 'flip' bias ply tires for fear of tread separation and obviously because a flipped tire would no deal with rain well...but on the race track we did flip radial tires when we knew we'd be in a dry environment and the radial tires had "0 degree belting." Never had a problem there.

I don't really know much about the discussion going on in this thread, but I've got a set of ASX's on my Evo. I took them out for the first time in the snow last night and had a pretty good time!

As stated before, the only thing that matters for the ASX's is that the water flows from the inside to the outside of the tire. If you rotate the tires to the other side of the car the water with still flow outward. The thing that will change is the longitudinal direction of the flow. Flow that was forward and out on one side will be aft and out on the other. ... I think...
