Hotchkis spring snapped

My right rear lowering spring broke in half on me and I'm looking for a replacement set. I'd like to try a different brand for obvious reasons. I've heard Tein, Swift, and Eibach all make good products. My springs are 1.5 inch drop on the front and 1 inch on the rear. To be honest that's slightly too low for around here. Especially on snow covered roads (think plowing with my front bumper). Any ideas or suggestions?

Sounds like you would like either Swift Sport or Eibach Prokit springs. The Swifts will handle nicer but the Eibachs will ride nicer (better than stock even). I'd try and get a warranty replacement though and if nothing else just sell that set.

I have hotchkiss springs riding with no problems. Hope I don't have that problem in the future.

I had those springs on my car for 40k miles on my VIII and never had any problem. I think its a freak accident. I would say something like the Eibach prokits and so you have a milder drop, but still looks good.

Swift is where its at. Gets rid of the 'trucker' stock evo look, gives noticeably better handling, and has a significantly better secondary (high frequency) ride. Swift all the way!

i have seen corrosion pics of hotchkis before. They seem to snap in half in colder climates area due to all the road salt. I dont know what type of grade of steel they use.

I say use swifts. They are a good brand and awsome performer.

Our GTWorx springs are a mild 20mm drop front and 15mm drop rear. Designed to perform.

Both the Swift sport springs and Spec-r drop 1.4 front/0.8 rear which is slightly less than my current springs. Which is better for rougher roads? I'm thinking the sport springs....
