How noticable is a 2lb increase in wheel weight?

Rotation Mass is HUGE.. 8 extra pounds will be felt. Its like adding 32 pound into your car.

If the two wheels weigh the same, yes. If the 17 weighs less, it will be more apparent. If the 18 weighs less, it will be less apparent, and possibly not any slower.

wheel weight and size and rubber size are all a trade off.

Would I rather have 16# 8" wheels/rubber or 20# 10" wheels/rubber for the track?

are you guys kidding? you wont feel any difference 2lbs who cares! and even if it is something to do w/ rotation mass, 32lbs that is nothing. when you start adding like 100, 200 lbs then u can "feel" a difference not from such a small amount.
