Nah, I don't think you messed up your suspension but it's definitely not a good thing to cut them without it being necessary. My buddy did the same thing to his Z and it was a pain in the butt but we had to buy new ones and replace it to give him a piece of mind. I suggest you do the same, it'll be worth it just to know it's done right
