Need new tires

Hello,

I am looking to replace my tires on my evo. I am looking for something that is a balance between price/performance. I really can't afford an expensive tire but want to get the best value. I looked into the Z1's and they look decent for the price. On average those with the Z1's how long did they last? Will not be doing any track. Also anything else out there for same/cheaper than Z1's that are decent.

Thanks in advance.

Should see 12-15k out of the Z1's. Something similar for less cost would be Sumitomo's HTRZ-III.

I am looking for something cheaper now instead of the Z1's. Anyone can recommend something a little cheaper but still decent in performance? Maybe 100/tire or less? Thanks

Sumitomo HTRZIII's sound like they fit your needs perfectly. Great street manners, very good in the wet, nice ride, quiet, and a treadwear rating of 300. I have one full summer on them and have been very impressed. They also performed very well on the autocross courses. I paid $93/each for stock Evo tire size.

I agree. I'm about to take these tires off my car. They're cheap, have decent grip, and they lasted 12000 miles on my car and I beat on tires.
