My Evo VII done about 7k miles. the front OEM Yokohama tyre really making loud noise when I slowing down the car. Are those tyre that noisy?
When I go through bumps or on gravel road, I can hear some knocking noise from the right front suspension. Any of u guys there having same problem? .. or its time for me to upgrade to hight adjustable absorber? Thks.

When the tires are making a noise, do u mean squealing? Like lost traction? You should check for leaks on the stock dampers. I have heard of evo 7s with faulty stock dampers

Thks Changy. I will check the front dampers for leaks.
My tyre not making squealing noise, kind of woongwoong... don't know how to describe it. something like a worn wheel bearing noise, but worn wheel bearing noise only generate at higher speed.

Those Yokohama ES100 are damn noisy. I'm gonna try the G3 when those are done. Heard they have good grip and less noise. I also experience some knocking sounds. Mine is coming from the left front suspension. But it will only sound ONCE after every start up. It comes in when I'm slowing down to a stop(for the 1st time after starting). Throughout the journey, there's no more such noise until I ceased the engine(5-10min), start it up, move off, and apply steady brake to a stop. The sound comes in again. Funny thing is that it only sounded once throughout the journey. Any idea what's wrong?

I have the same thought, will change it to Bridgestone G3. I use G3 on my skyline and NSX, very gd tyre n gd price.

Just check with my friend regard d suspension knocking noise, he said it could be the swaybar/stablelizer bar bushes need to replace? Coz he just change his and the noise gone, but his car is colt.

ds18, are u using stock spring and absorber?

Yup, using the stock spring and absorber for now. Thinking of changing to Tein Lowering Springs but I'm not sure if the handling will be affected or not and whether the ride will be bumpier than before.......

I'll change the bushes and see if the knocking noise goes away.....

Thanx, bro.
