Tyre Change

Changed tyres on my eve x and after driving it for 10 mins or so the AWC service light popped up. Any ideas?
Goes out when I switch the car off but back on again after a few mins of driving.

I'm assuming you mean Evo X. Anyway did you replace just one tire or all 4? If the tires are too different in tread depth or size then the AWD does not like it. They have to be close or else it will throw that CEL

Yes thats what I meant haha.. and yes I did change all 4 tyres.. does this mean I just have to wait for the new tyres to wear down a little??

Verify all 4 tires are the same size, chances are your ave pump just happened to wear out right after.

Could also be a sensor (e.g. speed or ABS) got bumped loose or damaged in the process of changing the wheels. Probably best to find out what the trouble code is and go from there.

There's an extended warranty for the pump, 100k or 10 years.
just tell them you want them to check and see if the pump is throwing the appropriate codes for replacement.

As far as how often? 5-6 years seems to be par of you live in an area where they salt the roads excessively(thanks new york!)

Ahh I don't think that extended warranty covers me here in the UK haha.. going to take her into the main dealers and get plugged in today anyways.. could it be that the wheels haven't been balanced properly? just a thought.. :/

Best bet would just be to find out what code the car is throwing so yeah dealership should be able to tell you hopefully without giving you some BS answer and charging you your life savings.

What codes did you have? There are a few different reasons, I believe the codes ending in a,e,f are all replace the pump codes. FWIW the pumps are rebuildable as well.

If your car is still low mileage they should cover the pump under warranty

they didn't give me any specific codes just quoted around £2600 for a fitted price..
as for warranty, i don't think I'm still covered under original manufacturers warranty as the car is almost 6 years old with 30k on the clock.. however i do have a separate warranty but not sure if they will cover this pump.

The pump is covered for 10 years/100,000 miles.

That's not guaranteed though. Mitsu U.K. might have different rules then Mitsu US. Like how Mitsu Canada is denying pump warranties due to mods/tunes whereas US it doesn't matter.
