Whose car is NOT lowered?
Please post and explain your reasons.
I'll start. My car sits on factory Bilstein suspension - not lowered - and it's modded with F/R anti-swaybars. I chose this route, because it allows me to corner fast as hell on the street and because I didn't feel comfortable altering the factory geometry. I don't have to slow down for barely anything due to ample suspension travel and ground clearance.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Bilstein HD struts, Swift Spec R Springs (-1.4/-0.8), Swift Stabilizer Bars (F/R).
My daily driver that sees its share of track days and AX events.
Lowering, when done right, alters the center of gravity for the car. Done wrong, alters the geometry too far and can hurt more than help. Spring rates and sway bars control handling characteristics. Once properly added up can create a pretty mean handling car!

+1 i got a side wall bubble because of DC metro area famous pot hole system; i also scraped up my front bumper because for the weird angled drivewayss too; this is on stock alignment and 245/45/17 tires

From: Still in NC!! Loving retired life!!
I'm still on completely stock suspension (05 VIII) by choice, but I have some Bilstein HD's in the garage with GTWorx springs just waiting to be put on. I moved from Virginia so less of a problem with stupid roads and crazy angled driveways. I'm all about upgrading suspension/brakes/handling with the power as it increases.

I am currently running the stock shocks and Swift Sport Springs. I daily drive my car and never sees track time, but they seem to ride slightly better than the stock springs and look fantastic. Just the perfect drop to make the car look great and not too low that it scrapes. Maybe a full set of coilovers in the future, but happy with my set up for now.

What about the folks who upgrade the wheels on their performance machines for (err...) performance and not for the sake of something as shallow as outward appearance. Are they stupid for not getting a "drop?"
