Question on Springs!!

Any one know what springs give our cars a good drop and still feel good for daily driving? I am looking at the swifts and tiens right now, but from what I have read the Swifts drop 1" in the front and .8' in the back, i don't know if that's even noticeable! please help me out thanks

If you did a more in depth search, you would have found that no one will recommend Teins on the stock struts. Then you would have found this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-reviewed.html

I went with the Swift Sports myself, and couldn't be happier.

I'm sure there are a lot of reviews if you do a little searching...from what I've seen the Swifts are great. I believe it gives you a bigger drop than that...it's 1.4" in the front according to Swift's catalog. The comfort level is near stock, some say even better, as they are variable spring rates.

Don't go for the Tein's (S.tech), they're horrible for the suspension. Tein is a good brand but they did not design their lowering springs for the Evo very well.

from what i know from maxima's is that tein s techs drop the car too much and the springs are way too soft. so they bottoms out your car alot and will ruin your struts if you live in a area with bad roads filled with pot holes.

i personally knows that eibach springs are really good i dont know how they are on evo's bcus i doont own one yet. :-(

looks like somebody already told you that. lol ppl post so fast on this thread.

This is literally the first thing that came up on a Google image search. Seriously, learn to use the search button. And in case you really need to see how low other springs gets you, go here.

FWIW, hotchass is an attractive member of the opposite sex. Hotchkis is a manufacturer of suspension components.

Do not get the Teins - worst option on the CT9A.

Thanks for the Swift support! Check out that link in the 1st reply. They really are great. For a strictly DD - I would get the Sports.

Contact GTWorx.com (Andrew) - he can get you setup!

Swifts if you want a drop. Anything lower and you start running into geometry and travel problems.
