Brembo Fade

Im just curious to how many people out there have had the clearcoat fade on there brembos. Mitsubishi took some pics of mine, as I complained about it after just 23,000 miles. Who else finds this ridiculous. There should be a reacall.....
I know I didnt pay all this money for this kind of reliability. Its an eye sore

take it back to the dealer, you have a warranty on them until 32k
had all 4 of mine replaced

Mine are all starting to fade. My best guess is wheel cleaner, I'd bet the previous owner of my car took the car to a car wash were they used strong wheel cleaner.

I had mine replaced under warranty at 48k miles. yeah it's a common problem and it shouldn't be, but I'm happy they replaced them for me.

Not Mitsubishi's fault since Mitsubishi doesn't even make the Brembo's. Good luck with your warranty work, though!

They can be replaced under warranty, I had them replaced for a friend of mine through the dealership I work at. However it's done at a case by case basis. It takes some "criteria" to get them replaced under warranty. If you are not the original owner of the vehicle, forget it. If you didn't purchase the vehicle at the dealership you are have\ing the claim processed at, good luck. It your car appears to be "rough" or "highly modified" good luck as well. I would also go so far as to say that you should be a decent service customer to the garage as well if you want them to help you out (getting some oil changes and tire rotations at a Mitsu garage can only improve your chances).

That's the first step. After the dealership finds it's fitting to open a claim, then each case is looked at by a Mitsu sevice rep. individually. They then decide to say yes or no to the claim.
These claims, as well as the carbon fiber wing claims, are not authorized by Mitsu service garages. thay are upped to a service rep decision.

There will never be a "recall" for these cosmetic flaws. A recall is pertaining to a safety issue only. Thereare "special service bulletins" out, but not recalls. Keep in mind that a 4 Brembo caliper replacement is nearly a $5000.00 warranty claim. A spoiler claim is over $1800.00 in warranty claims. Dealers and Mitsu are not gonna drop their pants to hand out these kind of claims to everyone. Especially since both claims are for cosmetic replacement concerns only!
