There has been some interest in a KW V3 Spring Upgrade Package. This was in response to the choice of spring rates for the standard, off the shelf KW V3 coilovers. 9k/6k is a little off for the EVO and the result is not ideal for the track or street IMO. Great shock, but understeer, and okay ride quality. Lots of room for improvement.

I've been looking at the shock dyno plots of the off the shelf KW V3 kits and have designed 2 different spring packages (mild and spicy) that match the standard valving and are well within range of the shock. The rates were chosen to match the motion ratio of the rear on the EVO. We have tons of experience with KW and know what they are capable of when set-up correctly, so this is primarily designed to complete the KW package.

We use Swift coilover springs. Hyperco is available for the Spicy set-up. The standard KW spring perches, helper springs, and hardware can all be reused.

Mild is one of the best all around street/track/auto-x for fun set-ups i've driven. It's not a nationally competitve auto-x set-up, but it's just plain fun. Well balanced, easy to drive, and comfortable.

Spicy is intended for someone who is a little more interested in track days and auto-x. Still rides pretty well on the street. I'd recommend this set-up if you run wider tires or r-comps. I wouldn't call this an aggressive "time attack" set-up though. Just another well balanced, easy to drive, fun set-up.

A super hardcore set-up is possible, but it pushes the limits of the stock KW valving. We can work with other options. These are also availabe bundled with a new set of KW's.

Call or PM for more info.

Andrew, you might want to update the thread to state that the the mild setup isn't available using Hypercoil Springs - only Swifts.

Yup, Hyperco does not make the spring rate we need in the correct ID and length for the mild set-up.
