In my opinion no they did not at least in terms of spring rates. I really like KW's for example but their spring rates are bad too. But they have great valving, so we do custom spring rates with them and it works well. HKS with custom springs might be alright too. I don't know if they offer it or if they use normal spring sizes so you can swap them.

^ Yet the HKS evo is still concidered the quickest circuit car/ time attack car in the world..?
Also, isnt it the swaybars job to controll bodyroll & understeer + oversteer..
The springs are supposed to help the shocks in controlling the wheels/tires.. ie, keeping them on the ground..
So if im running my cusco front sway and an agency power rear with endlinks, then I throw the stance coilovers on at 9k F and 8k R it would handle like crap?

When thinking about the weight distribution, you want to talk about wheelrates, not spring rates. The wheelrate is the springrate multiplied by the lever arm that it is attached to. It is the springrate _at_ the wheel and the only thing you should use to compare front in rear. You DO want higher wheelrates in the front because it is heavier.
However, the front and rear Evo geometry is different. You can have higher springrates in rear, but still have lower wheelrates. This is different from, for example, the old Subarus which have struts all around. They have basically the same lever arm factor front and rear so you want to run rates that basically mirror the weight distribution.
This is why so many fast people slightly higher springs in the back and why the car comes from the factory with higher rear rates. I really believe that a lot of coilover manufacturers are just lazy and and basically just copy their setup from another application (such as the subaru or honda) and don't really sit down and think about the evo as a different platform. They try them out and say "wow, this is better that stock" without realizing there is more on the table.
Hope this helps.
