Tire Question
don't EVER under ANY circumstances run a 245/45/17 tire no matter what anybody says. i learned that the hard way. my car is lowered on buddy club racing spec coilovers. it's not "slammed" but it's lowered for performace reasons. the tires would rub every time i took a turn or had anybody in the car. they eventually ate out the fender lining on both sides of the front end and took out the wire connected to my oil temp sensor. 245/45 is just too tall, and it has a bigger/softer sidewall than stock. i had problems with it rolling over on itself under hard cornering as well. it's just not a good size for our cars at all.
i switched to 255/40/17 and never looked back. on my third set in that size and NO problems. no rubbing, no nothing. they fit perfect. 255/40/17, and don't look back.

I disagree - tire choice is key. A 245/45 in one brand will not be like another. I have run and still run 245/45 Z1s as my summer DD (was my race tire last year).
okay, let me rephrase, don't run RT-615's in that size. especially when there is a much better size, 255/40/17
