Brake pad question!!!

Hey guys.. i just got the performance friction front rotors and i got the 97 compound brake pads with them (track pads) . is it going to hurt me if i keep the rear with softer street pads (ferrodo 2500) with dba slotter rotors??? Input will be greatly appreciated. I am going to vir next weekend so i wanted to make sure this set up will be fine.

It will be fine. I do not recommend driving on the street full time with the 97 pads. Run two sets up front - ones for street use, ones for track use. I swap before and after track days .

I run street pads in read and track pads up front for DE's days just because I don't feel like swapping the rear. I use HPS rear and DTC-60 front so it is a very similar combination to yours. Not a combo you'd want to use for a race, but for DE's it is perfectly fine.
