SmikeEvo, I went to the satisfied's website, the GS5 pads are not cheap compare to the ferodo 2500 I have.
The price listed are just MSRP right? what do you actually pay in the store?

 

I am using ferodo 2500, good pads, but too much dust, and they stick to the rims. Too expensive too, next time I will go with other pads

 

On the Satisfied website they are $150 for the front.

At MAP, DS2500s are $193.

Thats $40 cheaper.

 

I'm ready to order the GS6 for the front but not sure on the correct part number.

Is it GS6D904 or GS6D1001?

TireRack shows GS6D1001 as the front Axle set but I think I saw the 904 sku on and Satisfied's site.

I installed my GS5's a few weeks ago. The bonded antisqueal shims were poorly aligned with the pad mounting holes. On all four front pads, I had to file the shim holes extensively so that they would match up well enough with the pad mounting holes to allow me to install the mounting pins. Kinda made me wonder whether the pads would perform like junk as well.

The pads have a little less initial bite than the stock Brembo pads. Its more noticeable in cooler weather (50s is the lowest so far), but no problem to stop. I sometimes get a light bit of squeal on very light application of the brakes, but no biggie. Its only been a few weeks, but it appears that dusting is less than the stock pads. Except for the lame alignment of the antisqueal shims, I'm pretty pleased so far.

 

Thats odd. Did you contact Satisfied about that? I've never had issues with them? Sorry to hear that.

 

I had to install the pads as the warning tab on the OEM rears was a few tenths of a millimeter away from touching down on the rotors, and I had an upcoming roadtrip. I suppose I could contact Satifisied about whether the jacked up alignment of the shims will affect brake pad wear.

 

Which pad has a better drag coefficient or more stopping power?

Hawk Ceramic?

 

I read somewhere that the EBC Red stuff is just as good as the GS5

Can we get the EBC for the Evo? I didn't think we could.

And HPS were terrible. No bite. Do not get.

 

well ive had the HPS already for about 30k miles and as 1 of you stated they glazed my rotors.

Im debating EBC Red Stuff / HAWK Ceramic / or GS5

AND yes they make EBC for the evo

Amazon has them with free shipping if anyone is interested.

 

D1001 is the front pad.
