Tire Pressure ??

Hey I am running a 17x9.5 Enkei NT03 with a Falken Azenis 275/40 (street tire ). Any recommendation on cold tire pressure settings? (The factory tire pressure recommendation is 32F/29R.) Thanks

34 f and 36 r is where I like to start with my tires/susp combo. I go up or down depending on IR gun readings and feel.

Thanks Smike ...Tire temp. readings on a street tire (?)...I have an IR reader and a tire pyrometer, but thought that was only applicable on race tires. Are you looking at just the temperature gradient (looking for a linear distribution from inside to outer edge)?

Correct. I tracked the last few seasons on street tires. So the idea still works.

I never raced on the A046's - don't know what they would like.

I used 45F and 37R last weekend and was plowing throughout the cones on the stock advans. I should try 34F and 36R the next time around ?

Each tire is going to be different in different applications and with different suspension set ups, trial and error is the best way to go..

Are those cold temperature psi readings? What did you tires inflate to after a few session? When I was AX many many years ago (~20), the common practice was to mark the tires with chalk or tire crayon to see rollover and adjust tire pressure accordingly. Additionally folks that were more serious would use tire pyrometers to gauge proper psi and suspension setup.

Either way, my guess is 45F and 37R on A046 would be too high (I would have started more like 32 all around and then gone from there)....
