Yokohama lifespan

Well I finally broke down and ordered some new Kuhmo MX's for the Evo...they will arrive this Friday...
This decision was made following a large steering correction at 80mph today in heavy rain.....
The A046's have done 15,600 slip free and enjoyable miles and I thought I would see if anyone else has got this many miles on the stock tires....or if it is because I drive like Miss Daisy...
Please post your milage if you have outlasted me

4500 miles, including 3 auto-x's and two practice days, plus a pathetic factory alignment with almost 3/4" toe-in on the front.

8,000 miles and white knuckle driving in heavy rain. Starting to cup, too.

Got a bit over 10K on mine so far, looks like it will last another 6 or 7K. Most of my drivings are on the freeway.

23K I drive mostly highway miles but I drive as hard as the road lets me! I still have plenty of tread left.

If you are getting 15-20K on the stock tires you are doing great! With a wear rating of 160, they have similar life span of your average house fly. Keep them rotated as much as you can. This will help add some life to them

I am at 12,000 now including an autocross and some high-speed canyon runs. It has enough tread to make it to 20,000 no problem. They are wearing about the same as the S-02s I ran on my S2K. I am more than willing to trade off some wear for the awesome grip they have. Plus the Advans are good in the rain.

You guys must drive like soccer moms! 6500 miles on mine and they're essentially slicks now. I should add, however, that I've done a track day on them (which EVERYONE should be required to do with their evo ), so your mileage may vary...

Soccer moms? lol Yah right.

9700 miles on mine, and plenty left. From the looks of it, I would expect 20k+ miles out of my stock tires too. I don't drive like a "soccer mom" but I don't drive like a maniac either.

11k on mine with 3 track days, and several other non sanctioned performance runs. They're looking super ragged though.

Whoa whoa.... wearing same as the S-02s on your s2000? i had an s2000 and those things lasted me like 8000 miles thats it! then i switched to a Nitto 555, then switched to a Goodyear GS-D3, and GS-D3 lasted good but, i thought the stock s-02 had way better traction
