Brakes squeaking badly!

Just got the rotorpros slotted rotors with zync plating and the Hawk HPS break pads on and they squeak very loud! Is this due to the zync plating or the pads? It not all the time they are squeaking but here and there. Anyone know? Thanks
Kevin

Give them some time to break in. Did you grease the pistons?

Did you bed-in the pads/rotors after you installed them?

What he said ^^

Also, is the squeaking only when the brakes are cold? HPS tend to do that, in my experience, which is all of two sets, haha.

I had a local shop do the work due to my busy schedule. This is a pretty reputable shop too so I am assuming the work was done properly. And the squealing happens when it's hot and cold but mainly when hot. WTF?

Before I do anything I'm going to give it a few days. I haven't really been on the brakes much due to the squealing. Could the zinc plating have a part with this? Also I got the rotors from maperformance.com

Have you bed-in the pads though? I'd try that once and see what happens. Some pads will be a bit louder than others. But start with the bed-in, and let us know what happens then after it.

^^^ What he said, plus -

Did you put shims in when you changed the pads?

HPS should hardly be loud at all.

Hawk pads are known for squeaking very loud. I installed them 3 months ago and still hear it.

I got cheap Axis pads a month ago (dd pads).. squeaking was bad. did the proper bed in process once.. little help.. regreased backs.. bed in process again.. sqeaking is reducing but still there. There are no backing plates though. I think if i did, the squeaks would go away faster. lesson learned: get backing plates if don't have any, grease well and and do bed in process.

I'm having the same problem. Except I did not change my rotors. Its been about 2 weeks since I've had them installed. It happens mostly after they warm up and when I apply the brakes lightly to come to a slow stop at low speed the brakes SCREAM not squeek and it does not seem to be getting any better.
