i had the previous generation potenza 730 it was on my civic si. it was very good in dry/wet roads, also had a good tread life 30.000k plus. i don't know if there would be a difference on the evo but it worked great for me then. the 760 would be my choice due to my experience with its previous version.

For a street tire with good dry grip and phenomenal wet grip, I'd recommend the Goodyear Eagle GS-D3 265/35R18. I've been running this tire on my Evo on my set of 18x9 street rims for over 2 years and have been extremely happy with them ... as a street tire. Not something you'd want to track, though.

i would check out the yokohama s. drives -- available thru tirerack.com at $115 a piece. nice stiff sidewall, excellent traction, good longevity; however, a "summer only" tire

My car is also a DD, and lapping.
I've run down a set of star specs, and AD08s (255/40/17)... the AD08s are a bit stickier, way more expensive, and treadwear is way worse. so IMO Star Spec is a much better deal, I am going back to them for my next set
