Ve3-b843-h2

So as most of us know, Bilstein struts have been on back order since December.

Bilstein keeps changing the date for when they will ship out the new batch. My oridignal order was for VE3-B843-H0 (front struts) and F4-BE5-B844-H0 (rear struts)

Well sometime in Feb, Bilstein said they are no longer going to ship out the VE3-B843-H0, but the VE3-B843-H1 instead and will should be shipped in April. That is good, same valving, 10mm longer.

Now I get an email saying the VE3-B843-H1 are also discontinued and they will ship VE3-B843-H2, WTF?

Anyone here of VE3-B843-H2s being released? The reseller claimes the valving will be the same, but he doesn't sound too convincing. I already have a new set of F4-BE5-B844-H0 waiting in my room, so if VE3-B843-H2 are in fact comming to us, WTF could they have possible changed?

BTW, now ETA is May....

Have you called Bilstein? From my experience, they are very nice. Will answer questions.

OK, just got off the phone with them. The rep informed me that VE3-B843-Hx (0,1,2,etc) are not different at all, anything after the "H' are only internal changes inside the company and not to the actuall product.

I remember someone once stating that VE3-B843-H1 are 10mm longer then VE3-B843-H0s, but she assured me that was never the case. In order to changing the strut lenght or valving or anything inside the actual strut, then Bilstein would have changed the part number around.

So we are all getting VE3-B843-H2 whoever ordered them.

Now for the bad news, 2 week of May is when they SHOULD start comming over.

Asked my fitment team about the difference on this and they said....

Nothing really. Bilstein changes the part numbers whenever ANY change is made. Even if it is as simple as changing suppliers for the top nut, it can lead to a part number change. I called them on this and actually both the H0 and H1 are now discontinued and will be replaced by an H2 version. Performance would be the same for all 3 versions.

Hope that helps!
