I ran 255/40/17's on 17x8.5 te-37's for daily driving and RE-01's on the stockers for track days.

Got 25k + on the gforce sports. Again good tires but no comparison to advans in the grip department.
The treadwear is 340 and 160 i think. Yeah your probably right. I guess i really didnt push my stockers as hard as the gforces.

I had a set of Eagle GT tires on my DSM. I had them taken off while they were still new. It felt like I was driving on 4 flats.

I had the Kuhmo ASX's. They were horrible, loud, poor traction, etc. I bought a set of the new Eagle GTs and I love them. I daily drive my car, carry my kids, etc. They still handle quite well and are great in the rain.

My favorite daily driver tire that sees lots of rain is the KDW2... decent grip, long lasting... ran them in 255/40/17. Will get another set.

If you go to any Sears or even the website they offer Buy 3 get 1 free for Eagle GT tires. I dont know if the promotion is still up but worth a try. I paid 608 out the door for my 245/40/18 installed with TPMS.

after a road trip to vegas i have to say the tires are quiet. on the downside however, simple lane changes feels like riding on jello. the sidewalls are too soft.
