Need Help with TE37 +22

Need help with TE37 18x9.5 +22 with A048 265-35-R18.

Just got this combo ready for my IX. After doing some research here I was planing on shaving and pulling the rear. Well, took it to the body shop to have them work on the fender but he doesn't feel comfortable with what I want him to do. He does not want to shave it, and I understand why. But he is very interest on how everyone does it and would like to make it fit for me. He has already pull it out about 12mm. I also told him I can add a lot more camber which at the moment is at -1.6.

But he would like to talk to another body shop who has done it. I'll greatly appreciated if anyone can supply me their body shop numbers who has made there TE37 fit. Or just any write up or any more details or advice on it will help also.

Any bit of info will greatly help, thanks.

i have 2 friends running +22 offsets and they just had a shop cut out the rear fender lips.
it doesnt take too much... and you dont need to cut all the way around... just the upper portion where the tires would hit. (the rears dont TURN so the area of concern is pretty specific) unless you increase tires size etc... And no ill effects for them btw. They didnt buckle or mess up etc... Simple cutting wheel and steady hand.

I used a fender roller and a heat gun the paint didn't crack but I do have a slight indent on one side. You need to start ( / )and then once it starts you'll change it to ( l ) Take your time and keep heating the fender. You'll also have to cut the mounting points for the bumper since the tire will rub on the screw. Remount it with the holes further back using some bolts washers and nuts. I also trimed the inner side of the bumper a little because it rubbed.

You can start by trimming then pull a bit more. You say he already pulled it 12mm. That's a good amount. How? Did he use a rolling tool? If he's already rolled it, it's going to be tough to impossible to trim it afterward.

Most people trim by putting some masking tape over the lip to be trimmed, trim with cutting wheel, smooth it out a little, then add some touch up paint back on the exposed metal. Heat helps reduce the chance of paint cracking but not entirely.

If you are going to roll them I highly recommend heat and a rolling tool and lot of time and patience. Even more of all of these if you are going to pull. It's hard to know where the limit is to avoid the dreaded pull-dimple. Don't ask how I know (not on my Evo thankfully).

As ray said, you'll need to relocate the rear bumper mounting bolt further back.

Look at the other people who have done it's posts.

i dont really like shaving fenders, i feel that it takes away from the overall strength of the quarter panel

if you can get away with just rolling and pulling i would do that...

just my opinion

with this setup you HAVE to shave the rear bumper mount off. Atleast if you wanna sit as low as my car.

you have to roll the rear fenders then shave off the bumper mount.

Unless you want to run more then 2 degrees of negative camber and/or tires narrower then 265

roll for sure

cutting can leave sharp edges that'll cut your wheels
