MAPerformance!!!
I just wanted to give ADAM a big
He got me some ET800's over-nighted. I had a minor emergency and he came through. Got them installed today and I already noticed a pretty big difference while bedding them in. I was using Ferodo 2500's. Going to Motorsport Ranch this weekend and will give a full review on the pads themselves when I get back. Thanks again ADAM.
REVIEW OF PADS!
Ok, so last weekend I went down to Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Texas to run their 3.1 mile track. I hadn't been on the full 3.1 mile track before just the old 1.7 mile track and wow, the elevation changes were brutal on my brakes. That being said the pads performed exceptionally when the track was dry with no fading.
The pros; great initial bite, no fading and very dependable throughout the session with 10-12 full race laps per session.
The cons; had some small issues performing when it was raining and the track was covered with puddles, they dust a lot (my wheels were black after 1 dry, drive session) and they didn't last very long.
I ran through the whole pads after 3 rain session and 4 dry sessions. I had to skip the last session because I didn't bring a set of spare pads. In the past I have never gone through a set of pads in 1 weekend. That being said I have never had dealt with as much braking due to the elevation changes.
Overall impressions; Great track pad with great bite but wouldn't run them on the streets due to the rain problems.

Scare of the day....
I ordered a Prosport 52mm mechanical boost gauge and Autometer steering wheel gauge pod last minute for my modding wknd. I wasn't able to sign for the packages yesterday as I was at work. So I received a door tag (not two mind you...lazy FEDEX guy) and called in asking FEDEX to hold my package at the FEDEX location for pickup by 7:30pm tonight.
(7:13:34 PM) Fortran13: Hello Bill. I wanted to thank u again for helping me out on the 12th on Invoice # XXXX
(7:14:13 PM) Fortran13: I received the Autometer steering column gauge pod, but I was wondering if you had a tracking # for the prosport boost gauge?
(7:15:01 PM) Fortran13: The invoice states: "**Ship Priority for Delivery Friday or Before**" but I don't believe I received the tracking # and I want to make sure I'm around to sign for the package or I'm SOL. Thanks.
(7:17:27 PM) Bill at MAP: hey sure one sec
(7:18:22 PM) Bill at MAP: looks like they shipped it Fedex 2-Day 796598551713. Says Package available for pickup at: 4 MEADOW ST
(7:19:15 PM) Fortran13: Hrmm, I actually just signed for that package and have the autometer gauge pod in hand
(7:19:24 PM) Fortran13: but that was all that was in the box
(7:20:08 PM) Fortran13: I was thinking there was another package coming since the invoice stated the Prostart stuff "**Ship Priority for Delivery Friday or Before**"
(7:20:23 PM) Fortran13: I thought it might be drop shipped from the manufacturer or something
(7:20:27 PM) Bill at MAP: nope you signed for this one. 947106166147
(7:20:44 PM) Bill at MAP:
(7:21:44 PM) Fortran13: oh geesh
(7:21:49 PM) Fortran13: I gotta go back it looks like
(7:21:53 PM) Bill at MAP: hehe sorry
(7:21:53 PM) Fortran13: and they close in 9 min
(7:21:59 PM) Fortran13: will get back to u sorry
(7:22:05 PM) Bill at MAP: you could get it tomorrow
I signoff and run to car....Fast Forward 12 minutes later (I live a mile from the FEDEX distribution facility, hehe)
(7:34:37 PM) Fortran13: Evo + Determined Driver = package received.
(7:34:50 PM) Bill at MAP: HAHAHA Nice!
(7:35:08 PM) Bill at MAP: Thanks for the review by the way!
(7:35:18 PM) Fortran13: I guess just the door tag alone, for the first package I grabbed, and showed to their pickup desk didn't tell them in the system I had another package waiting there.
(7:35:29 PM) Bill at MAP: yeah kinda weird
(7:35:43 PM) Fortran13: NP, I appreciate the help, and having you guys available over IM is invaluable. I appreciate the quick response.
(7:36:12 PM) Bill at MAP: np!
(7:36:31 PM) Fortran13: Have a great day and I'll let y'all know how my install wknd goes. (oh kudos to S2kracka <Chris> for referring me to you guys) take care.
(7:37:19 PM) Bill at MAP: Same to you man! Good luck.
