Question Need Help on Removing wheel hubs

So recently at 39k on the car the wheel bearings decided to take a dump on me. Ordered all new hubs w/bearings and I am waiting for them to arrive (tomorrow). So I went ahead and started taking the old ones off...well one.

Once I got all the bolts off that hold the hub to the knuckle I attempted to remove the hubs. The passenger front side fell off with ease and I had no issue changing that one. Now as far as the other ones are concerned, well I think they are seized onto the knuckle. I even used a hub puller and resulted in the bearing separating from the hub. I am really hoping to fix the car soon because its my Daily driver..so I need some guidance.

Here are some carnage pics...

(Front Driver hub) UPDATE ONLY ONE left!
I have used propane/map gas to heat up the remaining hub and tryed to hammer it off...no luck

My only other opion is to take off the knuckle and take it to get pressed out...But I cant seem to get this sensor off! I believe its the ABS

try using a wrench instead of a socket and ratchet... if that doesnt work and they are absolutely stuck on there, try applying a generous amount of heat(torch!) and use new bolts on the install.... goodluck!

Just to add. if those bolts are a bastard to remove then most likely the hub itself will be rusted onto the knuckle too, a good blast of PB and a slide hammer will help to get it off.

Agree. Use a wrench. Take your time.

I had no issues with the bolts, but still couldn't get my hub out because it was seized in. If you're having trouble with the bolts you're going to have a nightmare with the hub itself.

I will have to wait and see, I imagine I will. When I was taking the rear hub bolts off I was using a long ratchet for leverage. I can't see a wrench doing much better.

you have to remove the whole knuckle and press the rest of the bearing out. You then press the new bearing onto the hub and then the hub and bearing back into the knuckle.

oh, you need a hydraulic press. a 20 ton one should do.

I had a feeling this was going to happen, as this also happened to me once, the hub has come apart from the bearing when they should have stayed together.

You might have to do what nightwalker said to get the bearing out of the knuckle.

Once thats done just throw both of the old bits away, the new bearing comes as a complete assembly so you just bolt it up, no press required.

Well just to give everyone a little update...the cars still down but I got the rear hub that was seized on off.... It just required 45 minutes of torching and hammering, and some miller chill

The front drivers hub is also seized and maybe the other rear. Tonight me and my buddy are going to give it some abuse and see what we can come up with.

2hubs down 2 to go!

Well I got the last hub off without having to have it pressed out.

Tools needed: Hammer, Chisel, Torch w/map propane & a hell of a lot of time.

I Ended up changing all the hubs/ bearings. It wasent so bad just tedious.

Your knuckle doesn't look usable to me. Is the knuckle distorted in anyway?

Looks like you still have part of the race stuck in the knuckle. Be careful to not beat the knuckle up too much or you might be buying a new one.
