TANABE GF210's sitting WEIRD!!?!
hey guys... i just installed some gf210s into my 06 mr...
the front got a nice drop but the back seems really high.... to note, the springs were USED, so it SHOULD be settled alrdy right??
i got 3 finger gap in the rear and less then 3 fingers up front.... something seems weird i dunno if its normal or not because other owners on here w/ these springs doesnt look as high as my rear....
did i install it wrong?
i'll post up pics 2morrow in daylight,
thanks,
brandon

Did you seat the springs into the perch? I believe there is a little groove.
Also did you remove your jack, spare, and tools from the trunk after you did the install?
As SmikeEvo pointed out the drop in the front is actually quite aggressive and the rear is a bit subtle. Hope that helps!

The Bilsteins just don't drop in the rear as much as the KYB shocks. I get flamed for saying this but I have experience running KYB's and Bilsteins. Try Works MR specific springs. They seem to drop the rear with the Bilsteins. Search chaotichoax for pics of his car on Works springs.

Strut does not matter - spring controls the drop.
SmikeEvo, After running both KYB's and Bilsteins on my car I noticed a big difference in the drop. Especially in the rear. We have to go no further than your own car to see it when you switched from GSR specific springs to MR specifics ones. Both these springs drop the car 1.4" front and 0.8" in the rear.
When you ran Sprint Sport GSR springs on Bilsteins:

Highrise city.
When your switched to Swift Spec-R MR specific springs with Bilsteins:

Much lower.
Here's another example I created about Espelir GT differences with the Bilsteins:

After doing some more reading on here I found one fellow saying that the OEM springs on the MR are almost an inch shorter than the GSR springs in the rear. This is due to a different spring perch location with the Bilsteins. So a spring like the GF210 that drops the rear on a GSR a little isn't going to drop the MR at all in the rear. They may even raise it, increasing rake, and causing extra weight over the front.
SmikeEvo, why were you looking for a replacement Bilstein shock a while back in the classifieds? Was it one of the fronts that blew? Were you running GSR springs at the time?
