Keeps going out of alignment?

My car can never seem to stay in alignment. It's good for about 2 weeks then it slowly starts gong out of alignment. My car has about 117000 miles on it and I was wondering if maybe replacing some of the bushings would help? Any other suggestions?

Ya, check the bushings and you might need new camber bolts and/or tie-rods. Depending on where the alignment goes out. After so many times, bolts can stretch and loose tq.

Find out what exactly is going out of spec and post back with that info.

I believe the last time I had it aligned it was the toe that was out. One other thing is I have a nasty vibration above 60 mph. I have had the tires balanced etc but I just wonder if the two issues are linked...your thoughts?

Definately check the lower control arm bushings (pancake bushings) after so many miles they tend to crack and break, will throw the alignment out very quickly. As for the vibration, i know you said the wheels were balanced, but is one maybe bent?.. the vibration shouldn't be related to the alignment of the vehicle

Who's doing the alignment? Are they getting the rear adjustments torqued to specs? Those bolts strip if you look at them wrong.

well if a wheel was bent, it should not vibrate if it balances. The front is what seems to be going out of alignment.

Well yes i totally agree, but i once ran into a situation where a wheel was bent, we went ahead and balanced the rim, but the run out was so bad, it didn't make much of a difference. Just my two cents. Have you checked tie rod ends (inner and outer) and lower ball joints?

Just had the car inspected like 5 days ago and I told them to really pay attention to those things because of the problem I was having. I was told all is well. I would think that if I had the wheels balanced and one was bent that bad someone would notice.

Also you might want to have the driveshaft checked. It is a possibility that it could be unbalanced and doesn't show it self until after 60mph. Has your car been lowered at all?

What is going out of alignment? Toe, camber and by how much? Do you have print outs?

My old Firebird was always going out of alignment. One day I made an appointment at the alignment shop and took the afternoon off. When I got there there was a sign in the window - closed for funeral. Since I had the time off I figured I'd go somewhere else. Every place was booked solid. So, in fustration, I stopped at a parts house and bought some shims and proceeded to do a garage floor alignment. That car never needed alignment again the rest of the years I owned it. So, my guess is, if your car keeps going out of alignment, it was never in alignment.
