Girodisc Magic pads are a very good "budget" pad. I think they can be had for around $150 shipped for all 4 corners and will out-perform the OEM Brembo pads in all aspects.

Girodiscs or Axxis ULTs are great low-cost pads.

BTW, the Axxis Ultimates are the standard pad for all of StopTech Big Brake Kits............very good high performance street pad if you're willing to put up with a bit of brake dust, and I've heard they can be a little noisy.

I like my Girodisc Magics, but I wish they had a little more initial bite. It seems the stock Brembo pads were a bit better in this regard.

However, they're tough to beat the price, and these Girodiscs hardly put off any dust at all.

Cheers!

if you read that it IS TRUE brake dust is like 10% of OEM pads. I was shocked. I don't have to wash my wheels once a week anymore!

Yeah I have to admit...I can't stand washing my car and by the time I get to the local car meet I can already see the brake dust! So I will prolly be going with the Duralast Gold's since my car is a DD and I don't usually go to the road course.

Monroe pads aren't bad. $20 rebate right now and you can get them from rockauto.com.

Hawk HPS are relatively cheap and offer satisfactory braking. Low brake dust too!

i've run Hawk HPS ever since i ran the OE Brembo's off at 17k (front and rear). i love'em. they feel great on the street, and for autocross, and as long as you grease them properly (use the little brake grease packets they have at the counter at o'rielly's/autozone/advanced) they are completely silent. you can get'em for around $170 shipped front and rear.

Got the new Duralast Gold pads on and got a new set of OEM rotors as well and got no complaints so far! I'll be getting the front brakes done in a few weeks so we'll see how they do up front. Thanks for all the info guys! I'll prolly go with a set of Hawk pads when I upgrade the rotors though. My friend gets a good deal on pretty much any aftermarket part I want for my cars.
