What pads?? SMALL BUDGET!

I'm gonna be doing the brakes on my car soon and was wondering what was a good set I should go with if I'm on a budget. I'd rather not go to the local parts store to get pads but if someone has an opinion please chime in! Also my front brakes don't pulse or shudder at all so I assume I prolly don't need to get my rotors turned right?

duralast cmax from autozone there was a thread on here about them, they turned out to be really good and best part is that there is minimal brake dust, they also lifetime warranty on them

Hawk pads are ok, have them on my evo. No need to turn them rotors. Don't forget caliper grease.

Girodisc Magic

I like the Girodisc Magic pads for a daily driver. $150 shipped, quiet, and give off about 10% of the dust the stock pads did.

I'm pleased so far with my Axxis Ultimates. Great initial bite. Much better than the Hawk HPS I had.

+1 for Autozone's duralast. Make sure to get the Ceramics brakes because the semi-metallics that I used squealed even with a massive amount of brake-quiet. Plus they are guaranteed for life!

Im not even gunna lie, if your budget is real tight, go with the duralast gold pads from autozone. I use them for daily driving and have even takin em up n down a few 5-7 mile canyon roads with no problems. wouldnt recommend em for hard track use but theyd get you by at an scca event. And they even come with a lifetime replacement warranty so as long as you dont wear em down to the metal you can take em back to autozone and get new ones for free. awesome way to preserve your expensive track pads for the track. doesnt take long to swap em out. Its what I do. Duralast Gold by daily, and Hawk HPS by track. Quick swap when I get to the track and before I drive home. Save yourself some money. The Duralast pads work great and arent to hard on the rotors.

Yea the semi-metalics do squeal, but with some High Temp Copper Permatex where you would use anti-squeal, the squealing is very minimal. The ceramics are also low dust! But the Semi-metallics have a slightly better bite and less fade.

To be 100% honest I dont notice any difference at all. Except the massive amount of money youll save over OE brembo replacements. I got the Duralast Gold pads HOT on the canyon roads with no fade, its about a 5-7 mile stretch, but on a track I will always swap to better pads. I never thought I would say Duralast pads are goin on the evo, but, I save a lotta cash from pads for other things.
