Axle Bearing / Hub Assembly

Well i swapped out my rotors and pads today @ 60k miles and found out my Front Right Axle Bearing is shot to ****.

Has anybody else had this happen, @ around this mileage and what may cause the Axle Bearing to go out???

Unusual for a wheel bearing to go out at 60K

something like that is most likely caused by a bad pothole or a previous accident like hitting a curb.

it sounds like metal to metal grind, but a real nasty grind as if you had no tire and it was just wheel to cement

the noise will get louder on a turn opposite the side the bad bearing is on. Turn left and the noise gets louder, bad right wheel brg. Turn right and the noise gets louder, bad left wheel brg. Cuz it loads the brg more on turns.

works better on higher speed wide turns.
