I'd get the HD or MR struts, they are rebuildable and custom valve-able. So if one needs it, you don't have to replace it outright.
Hey blkmkIII it's Scott with the black evo, I think I took you for a ride in my car on saturday. You definitely had the car in tripod mode a few times around that course which really is normal for the stock suspension on decent tires. I'd recommend the setup that I'm running, MR Bilstein shocks (revalved) and Swift Spec-R springs (for GSR). Bilstein HD's are good too but a slightly more expensive option.
Sway bars would help with three wheeling too but only if you do both bars at the same time, changing the rear bar only like many people do will only make that inside rear wheel lift higher.
