Camber adjustment question

I have Stance GR+ coil overs and they come with pillow mounts that allow for adjustable camber of the front struts. Can I remove the camber bolt out of the suspension near the hub and put a regular bolt in to get 0 degrees camber? I want to set it up so that the camber is set by the pillow mount and not the strut itself.

Thanks,
Josh

Just set the bolt identical on each side and then adjust the camber plates. Simple

Make sure you're on an alignment machine for all this. Eyeballing is not ideal.

"Just set the bolt identical on each side and then adjust the camber plates. Simple"

Setting the bolt identical on the strut does not mean it will be 0 degrees unless it is in the 0 degree position. I want to eliminate this bolt and just use the pillow mount since they have notches on it and is easier to access instead of having to make sure the strut is set to 0 at all times.

"Make sure you're on an alignment machine for all this. Eyeballing is not ideal."

I wanted to take care of this bolt before I put it on the alignment rack.

So back to the original question; Can I put in a standard bolt in place of the camber bolt to get 0 degree camber in the struts in the front?

Thanks for all the info so far,
Josh

The adjustment on the camber plates will provide more than enough adjustment. I wouldn't even worry about swapping that bolt. Set it any way you want and correct camber using the plates. Either way having the strut bolt set to zero will accomplish nothing. Odds are both camber plates won't line up even if the bolts are identical.

Just set the bolts identically at the -1 position, you're never going to run less than that anyway. Add the rest of your camber with the plates.

Dialing in more camber with the plates gives you a better roll center, but dialing in more with the lower bolts gives you a better SAI. Advantages to both, and a few people are going with the better SAI these days and loving it.
