Revalving Struts for Progressive Rate Springs

I am looking to re-valve my OE Bilstein Struts (evo 8 mr) for progressive rate springs (Swift R MR). What are the recommendations for strut setup as far as spring rate using progressive rate springs? I am afraid setting the struts to the final rates of the progressive rate springs (358F/380R #/in) because I will not be operating at these spring deflections to obtain these rates the majority of the time. I assume the optimal setup is ever so slightly under damped. Is there anyone that can comment on this? The car will be part DD and part weekend warrior (auto x and road course).

Ramone at Bilstein states he only needs stock and proposed spring rates to setup the valving (no sprung or unsprung mass).

SMIKEEVO, are you valved at final progressive rates?

smike recommended to revalve them at the final rate because the springs ramp up to that rate very quickly.

they are only at the lower rate for a few mm, and then bam, final rate

Bam. This. On Bilsteins website there is the form you send in with each strut. Put the final rate in lb/in there.

You could just tell them to valve them to the HD spec. I run a set of Bilstein HD struts with Swift Spec-R springs, and the combo works phenomenally well.

What's the typical cost to revalve bilsteins? Thinking spec rs and valves struts might be a pretty good setup for autox and cost effective

IIRC, it's something like $75 per strut.
