Unhappy brakes squeaking

i just got my lanevo8 last thursday, but a few days i ago i notice a loud squeak sound everytime step on the brakes. this sound only occurs when i'm stopping from 5mph or slower. but if i brake @ a higher speed than 5mph it doesn't make a sound. i just made a schelude appointment @ the dealership to see if anything is wrong with the brakes. is this an issue? or just the way brembo brakes work. this is my first evo turbo car. so advice and opinions would help thanks.....

the breaks on the evo will squeak from time to time due to the type of brakes. But if you have just purchased it , there my be a defect in there somewhere.

If you take it to the dealer, they are just going to tell you its normal, and to hit the road

You've got the post thing figured out just fine. Other folks have reported squeaking issues and you can see all the previous discussion if you use the search function. There is a technical service bulletin from Mitsubishi posted in one of the other messages. You can also view the bulletin on the NHTSA web site.

The brakes take longer to break-in than most other cars.
