Something wrong with my brakes. HELP!!!

Well today, I was gonna go start my car, instead of pressing the clutch and turning the key for it to start, I step on the brakes super hard and now my brakes feels weird like I gotta push the peddle all the way down for the car to fully stop. Could u guys help? Maybe my brakes locked up somehow? Well it just happened right now and it was dark and I wasn't paying attention. LOL!!

Have you done any work on your brakes or car lately? I assume you drove around a little and your brake pedal goes to the floor while attempting to brake?

Sounds like you have air in your brake lines and need to bleed your brakes. This is just a suggestion with the little info you provided. Check your brake reservoir level and make sure you're filled up to the 'max' line. Check all four corners and make sure you don't have any leaks or breaks on your brake lines ..I don't know what else I can add...

sounds like air to me as well.

check fluid, if levels all good, bleed brakes and it should be good as gold

How to Bleed your Brakes

http://www.joe250.com/cars/evo8/brak...ebleeding.html

Let us know if this corrected your problem...remember to check for leaks before and after starting...you don't want to bleed your brakes to later find out you have a busted brake line, like I did, and then have to to do it all over again.

By hard how hard? There is a possibility that you might have bent or miss-aligned your pedal assy to the clutch and now your petal travel has been reduced and you are pushing your brakes to the floor but only pushing the master cylinder piston in a little bit. There is an adjuster that connects the push rod of the your master cylinder to the pedal. Check to see if the pin that holds them together is still or if that rod is bent. It could also be air in the lines but I don't see why it would just happen one day from pressing the brakes if he hasn't done it before. The only real way that could happen is if his reservoir was almost empty and he just sucked a little air into the line. Bleeding your brakes it a great idea and I thought that originally but if after you swap the fluid your brakes feel the same look at your pedal assy because it sounds to me like you bent something.

Is it leaking fluid? What exactly is torn? Have you bled your brakes yet?
