Offset Question

Hi Guys

I have an Evo 6 and i am currantly on the look out for some new rims.

I want 9x18 but i want to run Toyo R888's

Question: what offset would i need to run these wheels and tyres without rubbing the front arches?

I am willing to trim the rear trim !

I want the fat look

Many thanks

Cam !

the issue isnt the brand of tire, its the size. what size r888 did you want to run?

I want to run 255's

And i want a good concave look

So for example : say if the offset i was looking for was +31

Would i be better getting a +21 then adding Huscentic 10mm spacers?

R888s are track tires - what will be the use for them?

And if only running an 255, why not go 18x8? Easier to fit in.

I would estimate a 25 to 30 offset.... But we aren't the best forum to ask as the vast majority does not have any experience with Evo 6s. If you go with a lower offset, it would give you the more concave look, but you will have greater difficulty dealing with tire/wheel fitment in the rear. Also you have to take front brake caliper clearance into consideration. Perhaps try www.LancerRegister.com

youv'e got in backwards. a +21 with a 10mm spacer would be a +11 effective offset.
if you are choosing the R888 because you want a track tire thats fine, but there are better suited street tires offered in 255 width.
